Closed for the Spring

Well Spring has sprung but it looks like winter to me. It has been snowing all week and there is more snow in the forecast. Hey, they are even grooming the trails still so get on up here. But believe it or not we are CLOSED UNTIL JUNE 13. Last Sunday was our last day, with a great showing for our annual Ride, Stride and Glide. Thanks to everyone who participated and to all our friends and supporters for another awesome season.

So maybe you are wondering what happens now? Well, we open for the Summer on June 13 and have a calendar full of events! Kids camp, Wagon Ride BBQ's, Weekend Brunches, Sundays on the deck with Bruce Innes, Dinners, and more. If you haven't spent much time up here in the summer what are you waiting for. The days are often cooler up here with lots of sunshine, a warm breeze and great food and drinks. Horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, road biking and more. There is something for everyone. So grab your sunscreen this summer and head up to Galena Lodge! Well see you soon.

We are off to the desert!

It's Time for the Ride, Stride and Glide

Well it is that time of year again...Spring (or winter... or somewhere in between) but it is also closing time at Galena Lodge. This sunday April 5th is the last day of the winter season up here at the lodge (though grooming will continue) and it is also the date for the 8th? annual Ride, Stride and Glide Winter Triathlon. Now I know that most everyone has been training all winter for this event and we wont disappoint. I heard through the Nordic grapevine that Jed has been out grooming some super jumps for the bike leg and well if it keeps snowing who knows what else could happen. Maybe we turn it in to a biathlon. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a sunny weekend with cold nights but be prepared for just about anything. The bike leg will once again take place on Jenny's Way, the Run out Gladiator and the Ski out Gladiator up and over into Horse creek, back up again and down Psycho for the finale. Cost for the event is $30 for teams or $15 for individuals and includes a buffet lunch. This is going to be a great event for everyone. Come help us celebrate another great winter season! Oh yeah, costumes are always welcome.

Also, don't forget about our great summer activities. Kids camp, Wagon Ride BBQ's Weekend Brunches, Sundays on the deck with Bruce Innes and more.  We will open for the Summer season Saturday June 13th!
