Wagon Ride BBQ's, Mountain Biking, and Good Food!

Summer awaits you at Galena Lodge. 

With warm temperatures and clear skies are hiking and mountain biking trails have dried out. Last night I went out and cleared the downed trees and the trails are ready for a summer of riding and hiking. The climb on the Grinder trail is as good as it gets for mountain biking and Titus Lake is finally open on both ends for a great hike.  Our bike shop has the most up to date information on the area trails and since we all love to get outdoors up here we can send you an adventure of a lifetime. Just stop in and ask! People are beginning to pre-ride the Grinder course for our annual Whit Henry Memorial Mountain Bike Race on July 25. Come on up and check it out.

This summer come up to Galena for our Thursday Night Wagon Ride BBQ's. Enjoy a 45 min horse drawn wagon ride out Senate Creek and then head back to the lodge for an incredible traditional BBQ with all the fixins'. Grilled Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Pulled Pork, Corn on the Cob, Cornbread, Potato Salad, Coleslaw and Homemade Cobbler for dessert. Wagon Rides depart at 6, 7, and 8 pm. Reservations are requested as wagon space is limited. Cost is $37.50 for adults and $19 for kids 12 and under.

Don't forget about Live Music on the Deck on Sunday's with Bruce Innes. Enjoy breakfast or lunch, a beer or spicy bloody mary while enjoying the Bruce play guitar. Watch the kids run around on the lawn and sit back and relax while you enjoy the sunshine, music and food of Galena Lodge.

Father's Day Brunch this Sunday!

Bring Dad up to Galena Lodge this Sunday for our annual Father's Day Brunch from 10:30-2:30. Rain or shine it will be a great day. Live music by Bruce Innes and great food prepared by Don, Todd and Raul. Who needs sunshine (well I guess we do eventually). We will be serving up a wonderful buffet with made to order omelettes, french toast strata, veggie fritata, quiche, homemade granola, yogurt, homemade pastries, fruit, mixed berry cobbler and more! Cost is $20.50 for adults and $12.50 for ages 12 and under. Reservations are not necessary so just head on up for a great day with Dad at Galena Lodge.

We're Opening, Rain or Shine!!!

This Saturday, June the 13th, Galena Lodge will open for the summer. We are opening with the 7th Annual Galena and the Trails Benefit BBQ sponsored by the BCRD and staffed with friends from the Galena Advisory Committee (well, we help them a little, it makes them feel good). After that we'll be open everyday for lunch, served from 11:30 to 3:30, but stop by for a coffee, a Don Bar or a beer anytime between 9:30 and 4. We serve a made to order Brunch every Saturday and Sunday with Bruce Innes playing guitar on Sundays.

We've got some fun new lunch items this summer like the Lava Lake Lamb Kebob and a Mahi Mahi sandwich on Bigwood's Challah bread. You'll also be psyched to see some familiar faces and some new ones, we have a few great staff people returning from Galena's years past and some fresh new faces as well.

Spring has sprung and Galena Lodge is opening June 13!

We all thought winter might keep coming this year as this spring brought tons of snow, good skiing, and winter conditions. The tide has finally turned up here at Galena and we are getting ready for opening weekend on June 13! 

We are excited to begin the season off on June 13th with the 7th annual Galena and the Trails Summer Benefit BBQ from 12-3pm.  The BBQ is a great way to show your support of Galena Lodge and the Trails as well as get some delicious homemade Galena food! Cost is $15 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. Now that is a good way to start your summer. 

As the weather warms and the trails dry out up here don't forget to head north to Galena for a fantastic bike ride, hike or eating festivities this summer. We are planning a lot of fantastic events this summer  from Wagon Ride BBQ's, Summer Dinners, Music on the deck, Kids Camp, and more.
