Fall is in the air and so is the Boulder Bike Tour!

Well you can't deny that Fall is in the air. The recent rain and cool temps are here at least for a few days so we might as well get out and enjoy. With the fresh rain on the trails they are in prime riding condition. Sort of like a summer powder day out there. No dust, no loose dirt. It is time to ride! Galena is closing in 2 weeks with the Boulder Mountain Bike Tour on Sunday September 13. This event has been a huge community party to celebrate the end of the summer season at Galena as well as Bikes. Now who doesn't love to celebrate. With a casual ride up from Ketchum on either the road or on the Harriman trail it is a great way to spend the day. Head up to the lodge and relax on the lawn or deck enjoying the sounds of Bruce Innes and the great food that Don is putting together. There will be specials on just about everything.

Road Bikers depart Ketchum at 10am with a police escort out of town.

Mt Bikers depart from the SNRA at 9am on the Harriman Trail.

There will be aid stations, sag wagons and a couple shuttles back to town for those that need a little help.

Gone Rafting

Monday August 24, Galena Lodge will be closed for an employee rafting party. Yes, it is that time of year to celebrate what a great summer it has been and what a great staff we have at Galena. We are headed over to the Payette River to go rafting with Sean and Ginger of the Payette River Company (if you haven't gone on a trip with them get over there!). We will back and open on Tuesday morning normal time and normal hours for the rest of the summer.

Don't forget about our Wagon Ride BBQ's, Live Music with Bruce Innes on Sundays, and the Boulder Bike Tour coming up on September 13!

Wagon Ride BBQ Dinner every Thursday Night

Grab the family and all your friends and head up to Galena Lodge on Thursday Nights for our Wagon Ride and BBQ Dinner. Enjoy a 45 minute wagon ride out into Senate Meadows and then head back to the lodge for a traditional BBQ feast of BBQ chicken, pulled pork, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, cornbread, coleslaw, potato salad and more! Wagon Rides leave at 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00pm. Can't make the wagon ride? Just come up for the BBQ! Give us a call for reservations.

Summer Dinner at Galena Lodge

Join us this Saturday Night for our last Summer Dinner "full moon style" of the season. Enjoy appetizers out on the deck and then come inside the lodge for an exquisite dinner featuring local goods from CA Bull Elk, local Sturgeon, Lava Lake Lamb, Shooting Star Farms, and many others. This four course dinner has limited seating so make your reservations now. There is one seating at 6:30 pm and the cost is $40/person not including alcohol, tax or gratuity.
