As you may have seen in the older posts, we are closed for the season, no quesadillas, no coffee beverages, No PBR (the trail vols finished it today), no Don Bars?!?! So what really happens while we're closed? Do Erin and I jet off to some unpronounceable island??? Not exactly...First of all, Erin and I get some outside time, the staff (who are mostly returning) take some time off to recharge and we still do quite a bit of work. This Saturday, I put the finishing touches on the firewood gathering and cutting and stacking for all of the dwellings and today I second guessed myself if we have enough. Sunday, we had a trail work day on the Grinder Trail with 6 Volunteers and myself. We worked on flattening the tread to reverse the cupping situation that we had (re-established the outslope in Chris Leman terms) hopefully in order to prevent major erosion problems next spring. It was really a beautiful day for this kind of work but we're glad it's done. All of the volunteers got a great lunch at the end of the day to make it worth their while to haul it up here and volunteer some time. Thanks Chris, Joel, Dave, Greg, Rob and Sam for your help.
We are taking reservations for Yurts and our Holiday Dinners, leave a message and we'll get back to you to make it happen for you. Enjoy Fall and we'll see you soon...
