Mid Winter Skiing in November!!

When you look out the window at Galena right now you would think it was mid winter out there. Then maybe you go out for a ski on the trails and you definitely think it is mid winter. The conditions right now are INCREDIBLE! With over 12 inches of new snow this past week we probably have a 36 inch base out on the trails. Take a look at some of our pictures from this week if you don't believe me. It is time to get out your skis, scrap your wax, book a Nordic lesson and get on up to Galena for a celebration of winter!

Galena Lodge opens with tons of snow!

If you love snow, you love a La Nina year, and that is what we have this year. Galena Lodge is now open for the winter season and has one of the best early season snowpacks in years. Over 12 inches of new snow has fallen in the last 2 days and the trails are in great shape. Get up here and get your Nordic on!

Galena Lodge Opens this Saturday, November 19th!!

Galena Lodge is opening this Saturday, November 19th for the winter season. With some new snow on the ground this morning and up to a foot of snow in the forecast for this week it looks like we could maybe, possibly, with some luck and help from mother nature have some skiing this weekend. I went out this morning with my rocks skis and the skiing was so much fun. I love the 1st ski of the year, it is always perfect no matter what the snow is like.

Grab your friends and family and maybe your skis (but maybe call 1st about this) and come up for opening weekend at Galena!

We are now taking reservations for our holiday dinners, full moon dinners and yurts. As of right now, Thanksgiving dinner is fully booked.
