Join us for our Valentine's Dinner on Tuesday, Feb 14th at 6:30pm. Enjoy private seating for you and your Valentine or get a group together for one of our larger tables. This 5-course dinner will feature handcrafted crab cakes, scallops, beef tenderloin and Maddie's incredible chocolate eclairs! This dinner is one you should not miss. Seating is limited so make your reservations early!

How about a 5-course dinner paired with the wonderful wines of Stuhlmuller winery? Join Fritz Stuhlmuller and S&C Wines on Saturday, February 18th at 6:30pm for a fabulous night of wine and food. Well temps were -5 this am at 7 but it is going towarm up as soon as the sun rises over Galena Peak. The racers are packed in the lodge and it is a bluebird day out there! Should be a great race, maybe not record setting with the cold temps but still pretty perfect conditions!

As the full moon begins to rise this week don't forget to make your reservations for the Galena Full Moon Dinners on Feb 6th and 7th (we decided to cancel the 5th due to the superbowl). Dinner is 1 seating at 6:30pm and we are planning on serving wild King salmon and pork tenderloin as our entrees this month. Join us for an amazing dinner and gorgeous moonlight ski or snowshoe. Make your reservations early. Cost is $40/person not including alcohol, tax or gratuity.

Don't forget your Sweetheart! Valentine's Day Dinner is Tuesday, February 14th at 6:30pm. Galena will be seating small tables so space is very limited. Join us for an incredible 5 course dinner. The menu is still in the works but is always fantastic. Cost is $50/person not including alcohol, tax or gratuity.

Snow, Snow and more Snow!!

Well the snow may have come later this year than most people would have liked but finally it is here. Galena Lodge has over 31/2 feet of new snow from this past storm making a base of over 5 feet!! The Nordic trails are incredible and the snowshoe trails (after some tough trail breaking) are perfect. Come up and enjoy a winter getaway soon.

The last Boulder Training Clinic with Nicole DeYong is this Sunday at 11am. The group will leave from Baker Creek and head south to the SNRA. Only $40 and includes the shuttle back to Baker Creek. Please call to sign up!

Twilight Ski and Dinner on Tuesday January 31st. Enjoy an after work ski under the setting sun and tiki torches on the trails at Galena. Then head back to the lodge for dinner. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:30pm and will be an a la carte menu. Live music, good friends and incredible snow!

Sunday is Free Ski Day on the entire North Valley Trail system. It is also free learn to ski day with a free skate clinic at 1pm and a free classic clinic at 2:30pm. Rentals are included for the lesson and offered at a discount for a full day rental. Make sure to sign up early and save your spot!

Sunday Galena Lodge is hosting Boulder Training Clinics with Nicole DeYong at 11am. Get yourself ready for the BMT this year with world class instruction from one of the countries top XC skiers. Learn technique, race tactics and strategies in this weekly 1.5 hour clinic. Make sure to sign up early!

Full Moon Dinners are this Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Enjoy an incredible four course dinner followed by a moonlit ski or snowshoe with friends and family. Reservations are limited.

High pressure finally left the Boulder Mountains this week and has left us with nearly 30 inches of fresh snow! All of our cross-country ski trails are open and groomed with the piston-bully, and we're making progress packing out the snowshoe trails. For a true winter experience look no farther than 23 miles north of Sun Valley.

As the holidays quickly approach we are getting geared up at Galena Lodge. The Nordic trails are really fantastic. The BCRD has been doing an incredible job of snowmobile grooming on the trails and though there isn't as much snow as some winters, the snow we have is fast and fun!

Try a Snowshoe Tour with Galena Lodge this winter. Looking to get into snowshoeing? Want to learn a little bit more about the rich mining history of the Galena Area? Join Galena Lodge snowshoe guides for a 2 hour journey on the trails at the lodge. Choose a relaxing stroll along the river or a heart pumping climb up Psycho, either way you wont be disappointed. Take a guide with you and discover all the secrets of the trails and history surrounding the lodge. Advanced registration is recommend as tours book up fast. Cost is only $35/person (3 people minimum) and includes snowshoes and trail passes.

Mid Winter Skiing in November!!

When you look out the window at Galena right now you would think it was mid winter out there. Then maybe you go out for a ski on the trails and you definitely think it is mid winter. The conditions right now are INCREDIBLE! With over 12 inches of new snow this past week we probably have a 36 inch base out on the trails. Take a look at some of our pictures from this week if you don't believe me. It is time to get out your skis, scrap your wax, book a Nordic lesson and get on up to Galena for a celebration of winter!

If you love snow, you love a La Nina year, and that is what we have this year. Galena Lodge is now open for the winter season and has one of the best early season snowpacks in years. Galena Lodge is opening this Saturday, November 19th for the winter season. With some new snow on the ground this morning and up to a foot of snow in the forecast for this week it looks like we could maybe, possibly, with some luck and help from mother nature have some skiing this weekend. I went out this morning with my rocks skis and the skiing was so much fun. I love the 1st ski of the year, it is always perfect no matter what the snow is like.

Grab your friends and family and maybe your skis (but maybe call 1st about this) and come up for opening weekend at Galena!

We are now taking reservations for our holiday dinners, full moon dinners and yurts. As of right now, Thanksgiving dinner is fully booked.

Getting Ready for Winter

With the fresh snow in the mountains it is time to get ready for winter. Get the wood cut, clean up the yard, blow the sprinklers out, and more. Just make sure to book your yurts early this year to ensure you get the dates that you want. They fill up fast! We are already taking reservations for Holiday and Full Moon Dinners so if you are a planner, now is a good time to get your reservations done. This winter is packed full of great events at Galena. We are headed off to the Southwest for a few weeks so enjoy the fall and we'll see you in November.

What a beautiful day for trail work. The IMBA trail care crew (Morgan and Steve) were out with this afternoon helping us get a better understanding on how to build responsible, sustainable trails. We had about 15 people out to volunteer today. Some even came as far as Twin Falls to learn and help. Thank you so much for all your help! The reroute on Psycho Ridge Trail is half way done and it looks great. Thank you, thank you , thank you to everyone who came out today to learn how to build trail. Please come up and volunteer to help build the next half!

Join Galena Lodge and the cycling community on Sunday, September 11th for the annual Boulder Mountain Bike Tour! Ride your road bike or mountain bike up to the lodge and enjoy a fantastic lunch buffet, live music and discounts on just about everything. There will be an aid station at Baker Creek and a Sag Wagon provided by The Perch and Sturtos as you ride up to the lodge. Mountain Bikers leave at 9am from the SNRA parking lot and Road Bikers leave at 10am from Ketchum town square. This final day of our summer season is filled with fun and celebration of bikes, summer and friends!

Summer Riding and HIking at Galena

Late summer is a great time to get out on your mountain bike or lace up your hiking shoes and enjoy one of the numerous trails at Galena Lodge. If you haven't hiked or biked on the Old Toll Road now is the time. The 5 miles (one way) lower section of the Toll Road is a great introduction to mountain biking or a casual stroll through history. Right now the wildflowers are still blooming, the views are amazing and you will feel like you are exploring a new part of Galena and it's mining history. Stop by the lodge and grab a free map and some directions, a Don Bar and lunch before you head out on this new adventure.

Wilderness First Responder Course

Galena Lodge is sponsoring a hands-on Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course September 17-24, 2011. Advanced registration before August 12th is recommend to ensure the booking of the course.

This course is a 70 hour course and is 8 full days of class. Class begins each day at 8am and ends around 5:30pm. Typically, half of your day will be devoted to classroom lecture and discussion with half outdoors for practical skills training and scenarios. This course will certify for Wilderness First Responder as well as CPR. Recertification can be earned at anytime during the three years following your course, but no later than the last day of the month in which your original certificate expires. Cost for this Wilderness First Responder course is $695 and includes lunch and snacks daily. There are options for on site room and board.

Summer Dinners, Wagon Rides and Adventures at Galena

Join us on Friday, August 5th for our Summer Dinner. The menu will feature passed appetizers on the deck, Idaho beef flank steak salad, Idaho Elk tri-tip, Idaho ruby trout, summer berry shortcakes and more. Cost is $40/person not including alcohol, tax or gratuity. Reservations are requested for this dinner.

Make sure to come up on a Thursday Night over the summer for our Wagon Ride and BBQ Dinners. Wagon rides depart at 5, 6, and 7pm for a historical journey out into the meadows around the lodge. Learn about our rich mining history, wildlife, and great stories! Cost is $37.50 for adults and $19 for kids 12 and under. Reservations are required as seating on the wagons is limited.

Join us this Saturday for the Galena Grinder Mountain Bike Race. This is a fantastic local race featuring some incredible high altitude riding around Galena Lodge. Camping is available in the National Forest and we will be serving an early breakfast on Saturday and food all day until 7pm. There will be live music by Ryley Coyote (Bluegrass) from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. Come up for the weekend, enjoy the race and relax at the lodge! Race times are 9am for the Marathon race and 10:30am for everyone else. See you up here!

The Mountain Biking Mecca of Idaho!

The US National Mountain Bike Race is in full swing down in Ketchum and it is amazing how many people are here for their 1st time. Don and I were lucky enough to take out a group of 12 riders yesterday for one of the Local Stoker rides. The ride was up Greenhorn to Lodgepole to Red Warrior and out Warm Springs Road. What a great day of riding and the wildflowers and views were amazing. Thanks to Smith Optics, Wood River Bike Coalition, BCRD, Mountain Rides and all the other guides (Susan Robinson and Ed Binney) for helping us spread the love for mountain biking in the Wood River Valley. Make sure you head down to town for the races this weekend and support our local riders! Check out www.ridesunvalley.com for a schedule of the races.

The Galena Grinder Mountain Bike Race is Saturday July 23. This race has been going on way longer than I have lived here but this is the 10th anniversary of Marc Driver's taking over putting on the race. We are going to celebrate! Come out and race this incredible local race. There are 10 mile, 17 mile, 22.5 mile and 45 mile loops so just take your pick. You can save yourself some money and preregister online at www.knobbytireseries.com. There is a lot of money to win this year and a ton of great prizes. Galena will be hosting food on Saturday afternoon and into the evening and will be keeping the bar open for post race partying! Bring your camping gear and help us celebrate Marc's 10th year of the Grinder.

With summer officially here and mother nature finally cooperating we are pretty excited about the next couple of months at the lodge. Most of our hiking and mountain biking trails are open and clear of trees, the Harriman is in great shape and Horseback riding is a blast. Ride, Stride and Glide Winter Triathlon

Join us on Sunday, April 3rd for the 10th annual Ride, Stride and Glide Winter Triathlon at Galena Lodge. Ride your bike on Jenny's Way (7km), run on Gladiator Loop and Westerhome Glade (5km) and skate ski on Gladiator, Westerhome, Horsecreek and Psycho (7km). This annual event can be done with a 2 or 3 person team or if you are looking to push yourself do it solo! Cost for the race is $30 for a team and $15 for a solo participant and includes a post race lunch and discounted adult beverages! What a great way to celebrate a fantastic winter season at Galena Lodge!

Don't forget closing day for the winter season is Sunday, April 3rd!

Spring Comes in Like a Lion!

Over 18 inches of new snow has fallen in the last 36 hours which means over 3 feet in the last week. The ski and snowshoe trails are so wintry that we can't believe it! Come on up and enjoy the powder or just sit and relax on the couch while you watch it snow!! If you get bored you can always help us shovel the roof.

6 more inches of fresh powder fell last night and this morning! Sprinter is what we are calling our spring winter or is it winter spring? Either way it is full on winter conditions out there. Maybe a little too soft for skate skiing today but the classic skiing and snowshoeing are incredible!! Get out of the dreary weather in Ketchum and head to the winter wonderland at Galena!

We Love to Ski!!

We love to ski and hope you do too. This past week Galena received another 5-6 inches of fresh snow and the skiing and snowshoeing are fantastic. We probably have 2-3 feet of snow on the ground right now so the trails should be fantastic well into April. If you are a backcountry skier then get out there and enjoy some powder turns!!

Our last Full Moon Dinners of the season are March 18, 19 & 20th. Make sure to book your reservations early as these are sure to sell out.

We still have a little bit of availability in our yurts over spring break so get your family together and enjoy some time in the yurts this spring.

Boulder Mountain Classic Tour

This Saturday, March 12th is the Boulder Mountain Classic Tour. This free fun ski tour goes from the SNRA up to Galena Lodge on the Harriman Trail.

30km tour will start at the SNRA at 10am

15km tour will start at Baker Creek at 11am

There will be a drink station at Baker Creek! Carry your own wax and extra fluids.

Mountain Fairies shuttle will bring all skiers back to their cars at Baker Creek or the SNRA.

Galena will be offering 20% off lunch and happy hour beer prices for participants. Use the code word "tiny dancer"

Well it is finally time for the annual Boulder Mountain Tour. This year's tour is one not to miss. With over 1000 participants and a strong elite wave competing for thousands of $$$ it is going to be an incredible race. The snow is amazingly fast right now and looks like it is going to stay that way for the race. Who knows, maybe there will event be some records broken this year. If you don't want to watch the race then head on up to Galena Lodge after 11am and enjoy the peace and solitude of the trails in the North Valley. With everyone racing or watching the Boulder Mountain Tour you are sure to have the trails up at Galena all to yourself. The lodge will be closed to parking until 10:30am. The Sun Valley Nordic Festival has begun. The last two days have been an incredible array of activities. The Galena Benefit on Saturday night was a huge success as was the Galena Loppet this morning. We would like to say a gigantic THANK YOU to everyone who has helped to support Galena Lodge and the trails, we couldn't do it with out you.

Tuesday night is the Twilight Ski and Dinner at Galena Lodge. Enjoy a sunset ski or snowshoe and then head into the lodge for a great dinner and live music by Rick Hoel. The dinner menu will feature Lava Lake Lamb stew, buffalo stew, lasagnas, soups, chili, antipasta platter, salads and more. Dinner will be served from 6pm until 8pm. No reservations are necessary.

If you haven't heard about the status of Don's beard you better head up now to see his cleanly shaven face! You won't even recognize him.

Our favorite FREE ski event is upon us once again! The Galena Loppet is a non-competitive party on skis that will travel the entire perimeter of the Galena Lodge ski trails - about 25 km. Join us on Sunday, January 30th for a 10am start that will be marked by shooting a rubber chicken. Skiers will enjoy a beer and homemade donuts "feed" station halfway, and as always, costumes are highly encouraged. See you then!

This Sunday January 9th is Free Ski Day on the North Valley Trails and Free Learn to Ski Day at Galena Lodge. You can ski all day on all the North Valley Trails for free thanks to the Blaine County Recreation District. No passes are needed!

In conjunction, the Galena Lodge Ski School is hosting Free Ski Clinics. A free Skate Ski Clinic will be held at 1pm and a free Classic Ski Clinic will be held at 2:30pm. These clinics are about 45 minutes and all levels are welcome. Don't worry if you don't have your own gear, you can use ours for free during your clinic or rent some for the whole day for just $10. This weekend is the beginning of our December Full Moon Dinners. Starting Sunday December 19 through Tuesday December 21st we will be hosting our popular dinners under either a magnificent full moon or dumping snow. Either way the lodge will be warm and cozy and dinner will be fantastic! Join us for one of these great dinners. We are also working with Mountain Fairy to offer a shuttle service for our guests as well. Dinner is at 6:30pm each night and reservations are requested. We're getting mixed reports of "mixed" precipitation down in town, but I can tell you for sure what it's doing up here at the Lodge. Five inches of dense snow have fallen so far. This winter has kicked off with lots of snow for us and we want to share it. Great early season conditions make for a perfect opportunity to see us about improving or learning how to cross-country ski. We have several lesson options to meet your budget including a super-cheap introduction-to-nordic skiing package. Give us a call and grab this winter by the horns. Demo Days and Winterstart Race

This weekend is full of fun events at Galena Lodge. Saturday is the annual Nordic Demo Days. Come check out the latest skis, boots and poles from Fischer, Atomic, Rossignol, Salomon, Swix, The Elephant's Perch, Backwoods and more! 10am to 3pm. This event is free and open to everyone. A discounted $10 trail pass will be sold for the Nordic trails. Lunch will be served 11:30-3:30. There will also be mini-lessons (about 15 mins) on the hour for those that need a little help or reminder on technique.

Mountain Fairies is offering a free shuttle from Ketchum up to Galena Lodge and back for Demo Days. Leaving the Elephant's Perch at 10am, Backwoods at 10:10am, SNRA at 10:25am and returning in the afternoon leaving Galena at 2pm. This will be 1st come 1st serve so make sure to get there early and take use of this Free shuttle.

Sunday is the SVSEF's Winterstart Race at Galena. Registration is from 9-10:30am and the race starts at 11am. There is a 5km and 10km loop on the trails around Galena. Cost is only $5 so come out and support the local Nordic ski program.

Ok so we tend to make up our own words up here but if you could see the snowpack right now you would agree that we can rename December Dumpcember. With over 3 feet of snow on the trails and all of the Nordic and snowshoe trails open and in fantastic shape we are feeling pretty amped up about this whole La Nina thing. No matter what your snowsport of choice is Galena Lodge is the place to be (unless you want to snowmobile or lift ski).

We've got snow and more snow and more snow!! The last winter storm to hit Galena Lodge brought an early Christmas present of 18 inches of new light snow. After shoveling, plowing, blowing, grooming and packing trails we are just about ready for the holiday weekend. The turkeys have arrived, the pies are being made, the bread is in the oven and the hot buttered rum is ready. So grab your snowshoes or skis and head up to Galena Lodge this weekend for a great snowy adventure! We are open every day from 9-5 serving lunch 11:30-3:30.

Well the forecast is calling for more and more snow. Possibly 7-11 inches tonight. That would be fantastic. We have received about 7 inches in the last few days and the trails are really skiing well. Welcome to summer. Today is Flag Day and Don's 37th birthday. So if you are up at Galena today or this week wish Don a happy birthday! The trails are drying out. This week we have ridden the yurt loop, tilt-a-whirl, valley view and the second half of the grinder. Also Cherry Creek and the big climb are dry as well. The roads are still a little wet and muddy so you can't drive out on them yet but they are fine for hiking or biking.

Galena Youth Adventure Camp is now taking reservations!

June 14-18 and June 21-25 are half day camps Monday thru Friday (9:00am to 1:30pm) for ages 6-8 years old. Cost is $250/week

June 28-August 20 are full day camps Monday thru Friday with an overnight on Thursday (9:00am to 4:00pm) for ages 8-12. Cost is $395/week

Galena Lodge is now closed for the winter season. Thanks to everyone for making this a great winter! We are now taking reservations for summer camp, bbq's weddings, yurt rentals and more so send an email or give a call.

Ride, Stride and Glide and Easter Sunday

This weekend is full of great fun at Galena Lodge

Join us Saturday for the 9th Annual Ride, Stride and Glide Winter Triathlon. Due to winter weather patterns the race has changed a little. The 1st leg of the race, which is normally the bike will be an open class. This means you can ride your bike, Classic ski, run, snowshoe, whatever you want except skate ski! The 2nd leg will be either a run on Gladiator or a snowshoe on the yurt loop depending on the snow. The last leg will still be a skate ski finishing on Psycho! Sign up for this event begins at 8:30am and the race starts at 9:30am. Costumes are rewarded! Cost is $30 for a team or $15 for solo and includes a buffet lunch after the event. Give us a call for more details!

Sunday is Easter and Galena Lodge is hosting Easter Brunch from 10:30 to 3:30. There will be both a buffet and small menu offered this day. No reservations are taken so just come on up and enjoy Easter at Galena Lodge. Cost for the buffet is $16 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under.

The Easter Egg Hunt at Galena will be at 11:30 am and the Easter Bunny will be here to hop around with the kids as well. There will also be Easter eggs hidden out on the ski trails as well.

This Sunday is the last day of the winter season so come up and enjoy closing weekend at Galena! We just received over 2 feet of new snow this week and the trails are incredible! Galena Lodge will reopen for the summer season on June 12.

Well the winter storm we have been waiting for has finally arrived and Galena Lodge has received 6 inches of snow today and it is still snowing. It feels like winter again even if it is just for a short while. The trails are in great shape though they will most likely have some new snow on them today. Come on up and enjoy a great day of skiing or snowshoeing then head back to the lodge for a warm cocktail or beer by the fire while we make your lunch.

Galena will close for the winter season at the end of the day on Sunday April 5

Full Moon Dinners and the Spring Loppet Ski Tour!

Spring is officially here and at Galena Lodge that means it is time for the Galena Spring Loppet. A fun and free perimeter ski tour on the trails around the lodge. This event is Sunday March 28 and starts at 10:30 am with a mass start (yes, we still hide yours skis!). There will be a poker run out on the course as well as homemade doughnuts and most likely some hot cocoa and PBR's. Ski the whole tour or just do what you feel like. This is not a race and is meant for all ages and abilities. Wear a fun costume and you might a prize! See you up here

Don't forget that the Ride, Stride and Glide winter triathalon is still scheduled for Saturday April 3rd at 9 am! More info to come.

The last Full Moon Dinners of the season are coming up this weekend and into next week. Join us on Saturday March 27, Sunday March 28 or Monday March 29 for an incredible dinner and celebration of the full moon. The menu will consist of bibb lettuce salad with bacon, apples and a bleu cheese dressing, Lava Lake Lamb Shoulder or local Idaho trout, and vanilla bean pot au creme for dessert. Space is limited so make your reservations now!

Easter is coming and so is the Easter Bunny. Sunday April 4th at 11:30 am followed by an Easter Egg Hunt for kids and adults. We will also be serving Sunday Brunch from 10:30 to 3:30. No reservations needed.

Living the Dream in Idaho!

All of us who are lucky enough to either live or visit Idaho know what makes this place so special. A combination of great people, gorgeous mountains, alpine lakes, great food, perfectly groomed trails, miles and miles of trails, sunshine, and great skiing (I know there is a lot more reasons but these are just some). I often find myself skiing in the morning before everyone gets up to the lodge and it is so peaceful and beautiful out there on the trails, it just doesn't get much better. Every time I walk out my door and look across the valley at Galena Peak I know why I live here. So now that spring is here it is time to get out and enjoy the sun whether it be skiing, biking, snowshoeing or enjoying lunch on the deck; just make sure you get out there!

Galena Lodge will be open for 3 more weeks and the skiing is great. When the temps warm up you need to get up and out early to enjoy the cold snow and as the day warms head back to the lodge for a great lunch and beer on the deck while the kids and dogs play in they snow!

Argentinean Wine Dinner

Join us on Saturday March 13th for the Argentinean Wine Dinner. Featuring a menu of Laughing Bird Shrimp Ceviche, Lava Lake Lamb Carpaccio, homemade Empanadas, Mesquite Cattle Ranch Flat Iron Steak with chimichurri sauce and homemade Flan for dessert. You can expect incredible food paired with some hidden gem wines from Argentina. Make your reservations now for this great dinner. Cost is $75/person not including tax and gratuity. There will also be a shuttle offered from the YMCA parking lot for $10 per person.

Don't forget to sign up for our Classic Ski Clinic on March 14 at 11 am. Improve your striding, kick double pole and more at this 3.5 hour clinic. Cost is $50 per person and includes lunch.

Summer Kids Camp Applications are out!

Tis the season for summer planning and we have just put out our summer kids camp applications. If you are looking for a camp filled with adventure and activity then the Galena Camp is for you. Horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, whitewater rafting, rock climbing and more! Our program develops lifelong skills through action-based adventures and emphasizes fun, safety, and respect for the outdoors and each other. We have 2 weeks of half day camp for our younger campers (ages 6-8 years old only) beginning June 14-18 and June 21-25. Our older campers (ages 8-12 years old only) can enjoy 8 weeks of camp offered as a week-long day camp with one overnight at the Galena Yurts. Camp weeks are from June 28 until August 20. This weekend Galena Lodge is offering numerous dinners. Friday Feb 12 is our Idaho's Bounty Dinner featuring an incredible menu of local foods. Saturday Feb 13 is our Winter dinner, with the new moon, great food and an amazing sky, this is a great night to come up to the lodge. And not that anyone could forget but Sunday Feb 14 is Valentine's Day and Galena is hosting a delicious four course dinner. Don't forget to check out the menus and make your reservations now!

Now that the Boulder Mountain Tour is over and maybe you raced and maybe you didn't, you might be feeling like you need a little fine tuning to your Nordic skiing. Our Lunchtime Ski Clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the SNRA are a great opportunity to improve your skills and a really incredible price. These clinics are from Noon to 1pm and cost $20/session. If you can't make the Lunchtime Ski Clinics why not try our Wednesday Workouts. Design for more intermediate skiers these clinics give you a chance to improve your technique and get in a workout out. Wednesday workouts are weekly from 3:30 to 5:00pm at Galena Lodge and the cost is $20 per session.

Boulder Fever

Who's got Boulder Fever? After a very successful concert last night in downtown Ketchum we are gearing up for the Boulder Mountain Tour on Saturday. The race begins at 10am at Galena Lodge and finishes down at the SNRA. It is snowing lightly up here today but the groomers are out and the course is going to be great! Come up and cheer on your local racers. Saturday is also a great day to come up to Galena for some quiet time. After the racers leave (about 10:45am) the lodge and trails will be empty and waiting for you! Give us a call for wax recommendations for the race or to find out more information about what is happening this weekend. Don't forget about our upcoming dinners next weekend.

Idaho's Bounty Dinner, Valentine's Dinner and More!

February brings many reasons for dinners at Galena Lodge. We are celebrating Idaho foods, our loved ones, wine and food and good 'ol Winter with some amazing dinners.

February 11 join us for our Idaho's Bounty Dinner. Idaho's Bounty is a local non-profit who's mission is "to develop and promote a local, sustainable food system for the communities of Southern Idaho that ensures safe, consistent, fresh, ethically produced and delivered products direct from our producers". This dinner will be an incredible four course dinner featuring local foods from around Southern Idaho. This is a dinner not to miss. Cost is $40/person not including alcohol, tax or gratuity.

February 13 is our Winter Dinner in honor of, you guessed it, Winter! The same format as our Full Moon Dinners but with the new moon. This is a great time to grab your binoculars and star charts and check out the incredible night ski we have in the Wood River Valley. Cost is $40/person and does not include alcohol, tax or gratuity.

And don't forget that February 14th is Valentine's Day Dinner at the lodge. Treat your sweetheart, your friends or even yourself to an incredible four course dinner. Cost is $50/person and does not include alcohol, tax or gratuity.

If you love food and wine then February 19th is a great time for you to join us at Galena Lodge for our Italian Wine Dinner. Featuring Italian wines selected by Steve Thies and a five course dinner created by Don Shepler. Cost is $75/person not including tax or gratuity. We will also be offering a shuttle from the YMCA park and ride to Galena and back for dinner for $10/person.

So get on your skis, work up an appetite, make a reservation and head on up to Galena!!
