Galena Lodge has over 40 miles of brand new purpose built single track designed for mountain biking. From beginner flow trails to expert trails, there is something that everyone can enjoy. Why go anywhere else?

Galena rents Rocky Mountain Bikes

  • Front Suspension Hard Tail 29’er or 650b  $35/half day (any 4 hours) or $45/day
  • Full Suspension $40/half day (any 4 hour) or $55/day
  • Kids Bikes $20/half day (any 4 hours) or $30/day

Galena has a variety of Mountain Bike offerings from 1-3 hour lessons, 1/2 day to full day tours, women’s only skills clinics, co-ed skills clinics, private group clinics, lessons for kids as well as a Kids Camp!

Check out our Mountain Bike School! offering custom group or private lessons at Galena Lodge. 1/ 2 day rides are approximately 2-3 hours. Full day rides are approximately 5-6 hours. Easy , Moderate or Advanced (you choose): Single-track (brand new) all lengths.
With over 40 miles of brand new single track tails at Galena Lodge there is a ride for everyone and every ability level! New to biking, no problem. Want to hit some jumps and berms, no problem. Love the down hills, no problem. Looking for a long XC ride, no problem. Galena has it all!

Harriman Trail 1/2 day ride

Easy with hills: improved gravel surface, 20 miles.
A classic ride for all levels and ages! Meeting at Galena Lodge, sit back and relax on the deck soaking up the sun at 7300’ before beginning your ride. Close to 20 miles of improved gravel surface will pass under your wheels as you pedal along the foot of the majestic Boulder Mountains. Cris-crossing the Bigwood River, you’ll pass beaver ponds, stop to look for mountain goats and create lasting memories before shuttling back to scenic Galena Lodge.  Whether a beginner or intermediate rider this trail is perfect for families and mellow riding.
Who: beginner riders, families, mixed groups with minimal single-track experience
What: Mostly downhill point to point ride on improved multi-use trail
Where: Start at Galena Lodge, finish at the SNRA HQ with a shuttle back to the lodge.
How Long: 2-3 hours

Corral Creek  1/2 day ride

Easy singletrack: 14 miles leaving from Ketchum
A great beginner ride and a skill builder that’s fun for all levels! A true classic, this narrow ribbon of tacky single track ebbs and flows through pine forests, aspen groves and touches the ranching heritage of the Sun Valley area. This out and back trail offers a fantastic setting to work on skills or to get into the flow of the single-track through sage meadows and tall trees. A local favorite.
Who: Riders just getting into mountain biking and ready to tackle some single track or short on time but long on fun
Where: Trail creek campground 2 miles east of Sun Valley and the Hemingway memorial
What: A classic local 6 mile single track that puts a smile on your face
How Long: 2-3 hours
How Hard: All levels
Cost: $150 for 1 person and $50 each additional person

Fox Peak Full day ride

Intermediate to advanced: 11 miles as shuttle to top or 22.5 miles without shuttle.
The Fox Peak single-track trail from the East fork of Baker Creek all the way back into Ketchum is one of the premiere point to point rides in Idaho. Imagine a trail that descends through wild flower covered meadows, vestiges of the Castle Rock fire and finishes with swooping single-track through aspen forests. This isn’t just a downhill coast, there are plenty of punchy little climbs and some technical bike handling required.
Who: Experienced riders who want to go straight to the goods.
What: Awesome Point to Point Ride of 14 miles or a killer 24 mile loop
Where: Meet in town, the full day option includes a fantastic lunch from Galena
How Long: 4-6 hours
How Hard: Hard
Cost: $225 for 1person, $50 each addition person for full day, includes shuttle to trailhead and lunch

Baldy Perimeter Full day ride

Intermediate with good endurance to advanced: 20 + miles
The Baldy Perimeter Trail offers plenty of Challenge with great rewards. This Loop circumnavigates the world famous Bald Mountain high above the valley floor. Great views, sun, shade, flowers and woods all with an 11-mile downhill.  Climbing from the Cold Springs trailhead you’ll be warmed by the sun on south facing, sage covered slopes. Then take in the views of all the surrounding mountain ranges and rest your legs before dropping into the seemingly endless descent to Warm Springs. Finish with short spin along the multi use paths of Ketchum to return to the River Run Parking area.
Who: Fit riders who may not have a ton of trail experience or experienced riders who want a fantastic downhill
What: A long loop from town with an 11 mile single track descent
Where: Meet in the upper River Run Parking Area in Ketchum
How Long: 3-6 hours
How Hard: Intermediate Costs:
