Monday-Friday 9:30am to 3:30pm
Galena Mountain Bike Camp is designed to help your child become more comfortable on a bike, build a strong mountain biking foundation, and create friends along the way. Kids should be comfortable on a mountain bike and plan to ride 2-3 hours (very casual and not all at once) per day. Our program develops lifelong skills through action-based adventures and emphasizes fun, safety, and respect for the outdoors and each other. |
Monday-Friday 9am to 3pm
This camp is designed for our younger campers and aims to prepare them for the Galena Adventure Camp. Each day provides new adventures and activities while providing a safe and secure environment for our young campers to learn and grow. Our programs develop lifelong skills through action-based adventures and emphasize fun, safety, and respect for the outdoors. There will be no overnight or whitewater rafting during these camps. |
Camp Code Of Ethics
We encourage kids to have fun, respect others, and communicate. We do NOT tolerate swearing, rude, disruptive, or aggressive behavior. If a child continues these behaviors, parents will be contacted and the child may be asked not to participate in the rest of camp.
Camp Protocols
At Galena, we try to work with our campers to resolve issues as they occur. For instance, if a child uses bad language our counselors will talk to the child, have the child apologize and warn the child if this continues she/he will be asked to leave. Parents are not called at the first sign of trouble because we are not usually in the vicinity of a phone, and because we believe that teaching children to act responsibly in the absence of their guardians is a crucial part of growing up. If the child repeats the behavior- parents will be called as soon as possible and asked to pick up their child.
CAN I SIGN MY CHILD UP WHO IS BARELY TOO OLD/YOUNG FOR CAMP?
Please do not do this. It is very important that we stay true to age ranges for the camps. We have found that these age ranges work well and kids that are too young or too old can really take away from the experience of the other kids at camp.
Please do not falsify campers ages on the kids camp application. If we find that the campers ages are not stated correctly, your camper will be sent home from camp with no refund.

Covid Policies
Our number one priority is to keep campers and counselors safe and healthy this summer. We therefore plan to continue taking the following COVID precautions (subject to change based on recommendations from the CDC and health department)
1) All campers and counselors will be required to wear a mask while traveling indoors, in vans, and when not able to maintain social distance of 6 feet or more.
2) All campers and counselors will wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently - including after the bathroom, before and after eating, and when using shared equipment.
3) All campers and counselors will take their temperature answer COVID screening questions each morning.
4) There will be no sharing of personal items such as water bottles, sunscreen, clothing etc.
